What's the difference between a Template and a Campaign?
A Template is the content of a message. Templates are saved in the Templates menu for repeated use.
A Campaign is a Template, with a specific audience and send-time attached to it.
To add a Template, from the Dashboard menu:
- Click Communications, then Templates
- Click Add Template, in the upper-right corner.
- Choose your delivery method (email, push notification)
- Write your message.
- Press the Save button.
Tip: the {{token}} button allows you to insert dynamic tokens into your messages that will fill with the appropriate information for each user, like their name or the name of the event.
Note: You can use Campaigns to deliver templates to attendees through email or push notification. You also can click Select Audience to specify who receives the email or push notification.
Note: campaigns can take up to 15 minutes per every 1,000 attendees to be sent
