Adding Metadata/SEO Terms and Connecting Google Analytics Follow
To maximize the visibility of your app on search engines, we recommend adding Meta tags and Search Engine Optimization language.
Adding Metadata:
- Host Tools Dashboard > Settings > Meta Tags & SEO
- Fill in the blank fields for Metadata Description and Keywords. This metadata will not be visible to your users, but will be used by search engines in determining how to list and report your site. ou may include multiple keywords, comma-separated.
Adding a Google Analytics Account:
- Host Tools Dashboard > Settings > Meta Tags & SEO
- Complete the fields for Google Analytics Web Property ID and Primary Domain
Notes:
- Pathable allows you to use your existing Google Analytics account to track user behavior on your Pathable site. You must ensure that your Google Analytics account has "Universal Tracking Analytics." If you are creating a new account, UA is the default. Enter your Tracking ID in the appropriate field in Pathable (e.g., UA-24480331-2).
- If you would like to aggregate your Pathable site traffic data into an existing Google Analytics report for your primary domain, please follow the instructions to update the tracking code on your existing site and fill in your primary domain.
- Once you've connected a Google Analytics account, you will retrieve the additional collected data on your Google Analytics dashboard, not in Pathable. Please note that Google Analytics will only receive analytics from the time you connect your account in the Dashboard. It does not retrieve any analytics before the connection.
