Restricting agenda items to certain attendees via Advanced Permissions Follow
Pathable allows you to designate certain sets of agenda items so that they will only be visible to certain classes of attendees (e.g., "Gold Sponsors", "Full Workshop Pass"), or so that everyone can see the agenda items, but only certain classes of attendees may add the sessions to their agenda.

Designate the attendees that are allowed to see the agenda item
First, tell the system how you will designate the attendees that will be allowed to (or forbidden from) seeing the item. This is done via the Profile Attributes. Profile attributes are informational elements on a user's profile, but they do not have to be visible in the app to the user and the other attendees.
For the purposes of illustration, we will imagine a scenario in which there are two ticket types, "Expo Only" and "Full Pass".
From your dashboard:
- Click People > Profile Attributes
- Create or open the profile attribute that you will use to determine the permission (e.g., "Ticket Type")
- Check the box next to "Make these values available as permissions"
- Fill in the possible values that will drive the permissions under "Suggested Responses", comma-separating each one. (e.g., "Expo Only", "Full Pass")
- Press Save
The next step will be to determine how to identify the sessions that are subject to the permissions.
- Click Agenda > Attributes
- Create or open the agenda attribute that will contain your determining value (e.g., "Track")
- Check the box next to "Make these values available as permissions"
- Fill in the possible values that will drive the permissions under "Suggested Responses", comma-separating each one. (e.g., you might create a track called "Workshops")
- Press Save
Hiding sessions from certain attendees
Let's say you want to hide workshops from attendees who are "Expo Only".
- Select Settings > Permissions
- Choose "Manage the rules that govern the permissions system. Only for advanced community administrators." if it's not already set
- Choose "Meetings" from the dropdown at the top
- Click the Add Rule button
- Add a rule that prevents your attendees from seeing ("reading") meetings with that track by making the following selections for the new rule (left to right):
- Choose the type of person the rules should apply to (e.g., "Expo Only")
- Choose "Can Not" to deny permission
- Choose "R" for "Read"
- Choose the attribute it should apply to (e.g., "Workshops")
Now, apply that attribute (the "Workshops" track, in our example) to the agenda item(s) you wish to hide from your attendees, and apply the ticket type to the attendees.
Restricting certain attendees from adding certain sessions to their agenda
Let's say that instead of wanting to hide the sessions entirely from "Expo Only" attendees, as we did in the last step, instead you want everyone to be able to see the sessions, but you only want "Full Pass" attendees to be able to add these sessions to their personal agenda.
- Select Settings > Permissions
- Choose "Manage the rules that govern the permissions system. Only for advanced community administrators." if it's not already set
- Choose "Meetings" from the dropdown at the top
- Click the Add Rule button
- Add a rule that prevents "Expo Only" attendees from adding the "Workshops" to their person agenda
- Choose the type of person the rules should to (e.g., "Expo Only")
- Choose "Can Not" to deny permission
- Choose "C" for "Create"
- Choose "Meeting Memberships"
- Click the "On Clause" and choose the type of agenda item this should apply to (e.g., "Workshops")
Now, apply that attribute (the "Workshops" track, in our example) to the agenda item(s) you wish to restrict access to, and apply the ticket type to the attendees.
