Release Date: April 15, 2021
Major updates include:
- When setting custom permissions on a page, the system now autocompletes the roles and displays existing roles matching the current input. When an admin starts typing the name of the role, it will be autocompleted if a matching role already exists. If autocomplete does not display, the system will create a new role.
- Walls.io widget improvements: adjustments to some settings names for ease of use. For example, Show header toggle is now a Hide header toggle.
- If an agenda item has images at the top of the description, and the description attribute is enabled to show on cards in the list-type display, the images won't display on the cards any more. This change was made because images placed above a description look great in their full agenda item page, but not in the list-type display, which distorts or cuts off the images due to space limitations.
New Zoom License Allocation:
- Altered support for Zoom meeting licenses. There are now three main types of Zoom meeting licenses we support: 300-person, 500-person, and 1000-person. We will migrate existing 500-person meeting licenses to 300-person, whenever the current attendee count allows.
- The "Custom license" option will allow the admin to input whole numbers up to the largest license size available to them. The system will then create the meeting, using the smallest license that will fit the indicated capacity.
- We can now support webinars of up to 5000 people, in addition to the previously-available 500-, 1000-, and 3000-person webinars. Webinars with over 5000 people will involve our in-house A/V team or other outside streaming services.
Integrations Updates:
- New People Integration for NetForum PRO (details are available in this article)
- SSO on the APP for NetForum PRO (details are available in this article)
- We now support SSO following the OpenID protocol, so if there are data providers that follow this authentication protocol, it is possible to enable SSO for those events. A full article regarding this feature will be available soon.
Impact on existing events
- Agenda items with images above the description will no longer display the image when the description attribute is set to display on cards in lists.
- Zoom meetings (not webinars) previously set to a 500-person license and capacity will be automatically reduced to a 300-person license and capacity. If this will cause an issue for your event, please contact your Implementation Specialist as soon as possible.
